Day 02 : Old & New Delhi Sightseeing

Your exploration begins at 09:00 AM as we dive straight into Old Delhi. We will cross into the historic walled gates of the Old City to visit the grand Jama Masjid, built in 1650. Next, you will enjoy an atmospheric rickshaw ride through the fabled lanes of Chandni Chowk—which beautifully translates to “Moonlight Square”—where local shoppers and vendors gather in Delhi’s oldest commercial hub. Please note that some shops may be closed if this day falls on a Sunday. We will also pause at Raj Ghat and its nearby ghats, the moving memorial sites where Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi were cremated.

After exploring the Old City, we highly recommend taking a break for lunch at a popular local restaurant, which your guide can help you choose.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a comprehensive tour of New Delhi. We will visit the soaring Qutub Minar, standing 72 meters high as one of the most perfect towers in the Persian world, and see the nearby Iron Pillar, which has miraculously withstood the elements for over 1,500 years. From there, we will take a scenic drive through Lutyens’ Delhi, the city’s serene corridor of power. You will drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan from the outside, a vast, intricate blend of Mughal and Western architecture that stands as one of the largest presidential properties in the world. We will also pass the Parliament House and pause at the majestic India Gate, a powerful tribute to India’s brave soldiers. Conclude your day with a visit to Humayun’s Tomb. Commissioned by Emperor Humayun’s widow, Hamida Banu Begum, in 1569, this stunning monument is the first distinct example of proper Mughal architecture inspired by Persian style.

Day 03 : Delhi to Jaipur (305 km | ~5.5 hours)

At 08:00 AM, you will set off on the drive to the “Pink City” of Jaipur.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to rest and relax. Later in the afternoon, you will head out with your guide to explore Jaipur’s endless shopping treasures. A perfect starting point for Rajasthan’s heritage craftwork is traditional block making and block printing. You will explore this fascinating process from start to finish at some of the city’s finest boutiques, where you can even have outfits custom-tailored to your design and size.

As the evening approaches, discover Jaipur’s legendary jewelry markets, which offer everything from chunky tribal pieces and enameled gold to modern diamond designs. Kundan, the intricate art of stone setting, and enamel jewelry are historic specialties of Jaipur. You will see how precious stones are embossed into decorative patterns and embellished with delicate enamel ornamentation using the classic champlevé technique. Vibrant bangles made of lac and embedded with hundreds of semi-precious stones by master craftsmen also make for an excellent, inexpensive keepsake. If you look closely, you will also find enchanting little birds and animals hand-carved from crystal, jade, smoky topaz, and amethyst.

Day 04 : Jaipur

Your day begins at 08:30 AM at the iconic Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds. Built in 1799, this five-story pink sandstone structure features 593 delicately honeycombed, semi-octagonal stone screens designed so veiled royal women could peer down at the street life below completely unseen by the outside world. We will also make a quick photo stop outside the beautiful lakeside Jal Mahal palace.

Next, we travel 11 km north of the city to the spectacular Amber Fort, the former capital of royal Jaipur. Perched on the dry, wrinkled Aravali Hills and surrounded by fortified battlements, this hilltop fortress-palace overlooks the peaceful Maota Lake. We will ride up to this architectural masterpiece by Jeep, where your guide will bring its history to life, pointing out the mirror-studded alcoves, dazzling mosaics, and historic water-cooled swings. Afterward, we stop at Panna Meena ka Kund, a striking 16th-century stepwell. Originally designed by a Brahmin and built by local craftsmen, it served as a vital community hub for gathering water, swimming, or simply relaxing with loved ones.

For lunch, we highly recommend stopping at the elegant Baradari Restaurant, located right inside the City Palace complex.

After lunch, we will explore the City Palace itself, a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture sitting right in the heart of the old city’s central grid, still guarded by its historic fortified walls and seven gates. Next, visit the nearby Solar Observatory, an astronomical treasure house featuring massive solar devices that still yield remarkably accurate predictions to this day. Conclude your tour at the sacred Govind Dev Ji Temple, located within the palace complex between the Chandra Mahal and Badal Mahal. The stunning idol of Govind Dev Ji is deeply revered for its perfect resemblance to Lord Krishna. If timing allows, you can witness one of the seven daily Aartis where local devotees gather for prayers and offerings.

Today is dedicated to nature, with thrilling morning and afternoon jungle excursions in a shared Jeep. Encompassing 410 square kilometers across the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, Ranthambore National Park is home to a healthy population of about 40 tigers, famously known as some of India’s most diurnal and visitor-friendly wild cats. The park is well-connected by tracks, making Jeeps the absolute best way to explore key sighting areas like Nal Ghati, Lahpur, Bakuala, Anantpur, and the Kachida Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for tigers, leopards, hyenas, sloth bears, wild boars, and various deer species gathering around water sources like Padam Talao lake and Raj Bagh. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, featuring magnificent species like Bonelli’s eagles, crested serpent eagles, painted storks, paradise flycatchers, and common peafowl.

Day 08 : Agra Sightseeing to Delhi Airport (241 Km 4.5 Hours)

Wake up early at sunrise to visit the world’s most breathtaking monument to love, the Taj Mahal. No matter how many photos you have seen, seeing it in person always surpasses human imagination. A dawn visit allows you to witness the magical changing colors of the rising sun reflecting off the brilliant white marble. Please note that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. After your visit, return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast.

At 10:30 AM, we will visit the massive, imposing Agra Fort. Built by Emperor Akbar, the fort’s elegant buildings showcase a brilliant synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles.
