At 08:30 am, we’ll dive straight into the vibrant chaos of Old Delhi. We will make our way through the historic walled gates of the Old City to visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, built back in 1650. From there, we’ll dive into the energy of Chandni Chowk (which beautifully translates to “Moonlight Square”), where locals, shoppers, and street vendors have been meeting for centuries. (Just a quick heads-up: if we happen to visit on a Sunday, some of the market shops might be closed, but the energy is still incredible!)
The absolute highlight here is jumping into a traditional cycle rickshaw. It’s a classic three-wheeled ride with a cozy seat in the back, and it is hands-down the best way to weave through the colorful, narrow, winding alleys. You’ll get a front-row seat to the lively street life, bustling pavement stalls, and the sheer charm of Old Delhi—it’s an experience bound to bring a smile to your face.
Next, we’ll stop by the massive Red Fort (Lal Qila). Its towering 33-meter red sandstone walls stand as a dramatic reminder of the power and grandeur of the Mughal Empire under Shah Jahan. Afterward, we’ll visit Raj Ghat, a peaceful, beautifully landscaped memorial on the banks of the Yamuna River dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, as well as the nearby memorials for Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
By then, you’ll have worked up an appetite, so we’ll pause for lunch at one of our favorite local restaurants to let you sample some great Delhi flavors (lunch isn’t included, but we have plenty of excellent recommendations ready).
In the afternoon, we will transition into the wide, tree-lined avenues of New Delhi. First up is the striking Qutub Minar complex, featuring the world’s tallest brick minaret and the famous 1,500-year-old Iron Pillar, which remarkably has never rusted. From there, we’ll drive through Lutyens’ Delhi, the city’s architectural power center. You’ll get a great view from the car of the grand Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President’s Estate)—one of the largest residential palaces in the world—and the impressive Parliament House complex, combining India’s rich history with its modern democracy. We will also pull up at the iconic India Gate, a deeply moving memorial dedicated to our brave soldiers.
To wrap up an unforgettable day, we’ll visit Humayun’s Tomb. Commissioned in 1569 by Emperor Humayun’s widow, Hamida Banu Begum, this stunning complex is widely considered the earliest masterpiece of proper Mughal architecture and famously served as the design inspiration for the Taj Mahal.

At 08:00 am, we’ll leave the capital behind and hit the road for Jaipur, the legendary “Pink City” of Rajasthan. It’s a scenic drive that watches the modern highway slowly give way to the vibrant, rustic landscapes of the desert state.
Upon arriving in Jaipur, we’ll check into Far from a standard commercial hotel, this is a beautiful ancestral family home lovingly run by its owners. It feels like an authentic, peaceful oasis of calm hidden away from the bustling energy of the city outside.
In the early evening, as the heat of the day softens, we’ll head up to the majestic Nahargarh Fort, perched high on the rugged edge of the Aravalli Hills. Built to form a protective defense ring alongside Amber and Jaigarh forts, it holds incredible layers of history—even serving as a safe sanctuary during the uprising of 1857. The absolute magic of this spot, however, is the breathtaking, sweeping view of the entire city layout below as the sun sets, wrapping the pink structures of Jaipur in a warm, golden glow.

At 8:30 am, we’ll start our morning at the iconic Hawa Mahal, the “Palace of the Winds.” Standing before this delicate, five-story pink sandstone facade is mesmerizing; its 593 intricate, honeycombed stone screens were designed in 1799 to allow royal women to look down at the bustling streets below completely unseen.
Next, we will make a quick photo stop at the serene Jal Mahal (Water Palace), which appears to float magically on the calm waters of Man Sagar Lake.
From there, we’ll head just north of the city to the breathtaking Amber Fort, the historic seat of Jaipur’s royalty. Perched dramatically on the rugged Aravalli Hills and overlooking Maota Lake, its grand fortress walls look like something out of a storybook. We’ll skip the trek and ride up to this hilltop palace in a comfortable open-air Jeep. Inside, our guide will bring the palace to life, walking you through dazzling, mirror-studded alcoves (Sheesh Mahal), vibrant mosaics, and the ingenious water-cooled swings where royalty once relaxed.
Just down the road, we’ll discover a hidden gem: Panna Meena ka Kund. This beautiful, geometric 16th-century stepwell is an architectural masterpiece. Historically, it wasn’t just for gathering water—it was a vibrant community hub where neighbors met to escape the heat, swim, and chat with loved ones. Its perfectly symmetrical, crisscrossing steps are incredibly striking.
By lunchtime, we highly recommend pausing for a bite at Baradari Restaurant, beautifully set right inside the historic courtyard of the City Palace (lunch isn’t included, but the ambiance here is unmatched).
In the afternoon, we will explore the City Palace complex itself, a living testament to Rajput and Mughal royalty that still occupies the heart of the old city. Right next door lies the fascinating Solar Observatory (Jantar Mantar). This UNESCO World Heritage site feels like an outdoor museum of giant, abstract sculptures, but they are actually remarkably accurate astronomical instruments designed centuries ago to read the stars and tell local time down to the second.

At 08:00 am, we’ll set off for Agra, weaving through the changing colors of the countryside. Along the way, we’ll step back in time with a visit to the hauntingly beautiful, deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Built by Emperor Akbar as his imperial capital and later abandoned, walking through its perfectly preserved red sandstone palaces, courtyards, and grand mosques feels like wandering through a living time capsule from the very height of the Mughal Empire.
After exploring, we will continue our drive to Agra and check into —a beautiful, serene hotel built around central courtyards, offering a wonderfully warm and comforting refuge after a morning of travel.
In the late evening, as the sky begins to soften, we’ll visit Mehtab Bagh, the legendary “Moonlight Garden.” Situated directly across the Yamuna River, this tranquil spot was originally designed as an extension of the Taj Mahal complex. Back in 1652, Emperor Aurangzeb wrote about this beautiful space, and though it was lost under layers of river mud for centuries, it was lovingly re-excavated in the 1990s. It is a profoundly peaceful place to escape the city crowd, sitting by the riverbank to watch the sun set over the Taj Mahal as the monument’s timeless silhouette reflects beautifully in the waters.

This morning brings the moment you’ve been waiting for. No matter how many photos you have seen or how high your expectations are, nothing quite prepares you for the sheer emotion of standing before the Taj Mahal in person. At sunrise, we will step into the grounds to witness one of the most beautiful sights of a lifetime. Watching the morning’s first rays hit the brilliant white marble, turning it soft shades of rose, gold, and cream, is a magical experience that stays with you forever. After soaking in this unforgettable view, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxed breakfast.
At 10:30 am, we will delve deeper into history with a visit to the massive Agra Fort. Hidden behind its formidable red sandstone walls is a maze of grand courtyards, elegant mosques, and private royal chambers. Built by Emperor Akbar, the architecture beautifully blends Hindu and Central Asian styles, and walking through it feels like listening to the whispers and stories of the Mughal Empire at its peak.
At 12:00 noon, we’ll say goodbye to Agra and drive back to Delhi along one of India’s smoothest, most scenic expressways.
Upon arriving in Delhi, we will transfer you directly to the international airport to catch your flight back home. As you board your plane, we hope you take with you not just souvenirs, but a heart full of warm memories, laughter, and the timeless magic of India.
