At 07:00 AM, our driver will meet you at your hotel or residence in Delhi to begin our drive to the historic city of Agra.
The Experience: Agra’s Mughal Grandeur
Upon arrival, we visit one of the greatest sights of a lifetime: the Taj Mahal. There is a unique enigma surrounding this monument; despite how many photographs you have seen or how high your expectations may be, the Taj never lets you down. Its unparalleled glory and the way the brilliant white marble reflects the shifting light surpasses all human imagination.
Following our tour of the Taj, we will recommend a local restaurant where you can relax and enjoy lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, we explore the massive Agra Fort. This red sandstone citadel is a maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers that echo the rise of the Mughal Empire. The elegant buildings inside reflect a beautiful synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles, meticulously built by Emperor Akbar.
